“Taking 360 degree KALEICI Panoramic Photograph” and “360 degree KALEICI Panoramic Virtual Tour” were my project and my dream…
There are a lot of narrow streets, historical buildings and houses, mosques and surprises ( for portrait ) to take photo….
Until modern times, almost the entire city was confined within its walls. It has structures dating from the Roman, Byzantine, Seljuk, Ottoman and Modern Turkish Republican Eras. The Kaleici area is located in the centre-eastern portion of the city along the Mediterranean coast fronted by the yacht harbour that dates to the Roman Era.
The name Kaleici means “Inside the Kale” or “Inner Kale” (Kale itself means castle or fortress).
There are a large number of mosques , churches , madrasahs , masjids , hans and hamams in Kaleici, the harbor which the city walls enclose is the oldest part of the city.
*In Kaleici; Yivli Minaret, Kesik Minaret ( Broken Minaret ), Hadrian ‘s Gate, Hıdırlık Tower, Kaleici Museum and historic houses are to be found…
*In Kaleici; there is traditional Turkish architecture which strives for harmony with the nature…
Kaleici; the historical center of the city; now restored as the touristic centre of the city with its hotels, bars, clubs, restaurants, and shopping…
Before to start walking at Kaleici; you can watch the panoramic view of the Kaleici from the terrace at the corner of The Republic Square… And; after a hard walking at Kaleici, you can drink a cup of tea and rest at Tophane Tea Garden while watching the wonderfull panoramic view of the Antalya Gulf… ( Photographer advise : please visit at sunrise or sunset )
